Shannon & Ben

College sweethearts, Shannon and Ben decided on a Halloween elopement at the Edgartown Lighthouse Beach, a historic landmark for the island of Martha’s Vineyard. The sunny warm weather was perfect and the ceremony was blessed by the magical sunset light. The couple shared this intimate moment only with their parents, siblings and a couple of close friends.

For their first look the groom was completely blindfolded (even during the car ride from the hotel to the beach). While Ben was preparing for the first look, Shannon exchanged gifts with her mom and dad.

The ceremony took place by the pond, in front of the Lighthouse. The bride walked down the “aisle” with both her parents.

After the ceremony, the couple had their first dance and champagne toast and afterwards the entire wedding party went to the beach in front of the Lighthouse to take pictures wearing Halloween masks.

The celebratory dinner was at Salvatore’s in Vineyard Haven and the cake was cut privately back at the hotel after dinner.

- Our Favorite Quote From The Ceremony –

“You gave me the strength to be who I am today, and who I will be in the future. You taught me that it’s okay to put myself first and that I matter just as much as anybody else in this world. You gave me the love and compassion that I didn’t know I needed and showed me what can become of two people who love each other, trust each other, and communicate with each other. ” – Ben, groom
