Emma & Paul

- A Modern Edgartown Affair –

There are weddings — and then there are Edgartown weddings. The kind that marry timeless tradition with refined style and a sense of effortless celebration. Emma & Paul’s September wedding was exactly that: a true black-tie celebration — elegant, polished, and impeccably thought through.

When Emma first reached out to us, she described herself as a minimalist and modern romantic who values luxury and uniformity. From our very first call, we could sense her clarity of vision and impeccable taste. We made the perfect team in bringing that vision to life with intention and ease.

Set at the bride’s family home in Edgartown, the wedding day unfolded with seamless sophistication. A beauty professional herself, Emma flew in her trusted hair and makeup team from Florida — to ensure every detail of her look reflected the refined aesthetic she had imagined. The groom, Paul, prepped at the stylish Faraway Hotel just down the road. Their first look in the hotel’s moody lobby was intimate and elegant — the perfect start to the day.

The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic mass at Saint Elizabeth’s Church on Main Street, accompanied by live organ and cello music. The processional featured classic selections from Bach and Wagner, while Emma’s walk down the aisle in her all-white look — joined by six bridesmaids in matching white and three tiny flower girls — was a breathtaking moment of serene beauty.

After the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour on the front lawn of the family home with live acoustic guitar setting the tone for the celebration. From there, guests were ushered into the backyard reception — and what a reveal it was.

Emma’s vision for the tented dinner was clean, modern, and museum-like. A clear-top tent housed two long dining tables — one for family, one for friends — lit by crystal chandeliers and flanked by a checkerboard dance floor in the middle. Ivory linens, monochromatic tulip centerpieces, and pillar candles completed the understated yet striking look.

Dinner was a seated surf-and-turf experience, followed by heartfelt speeches. The dance floor came alive as guests took turns DJ-ing alongside the couple’s friend from NYC, while Emma surprised everyone with a second look that brought playful glamour to the party.

From private cake cutting to flash mobs with napkins, this celebration was filled with personal moments, genuine joy, and polished styling from start to finish.

We were honored to be part of Emma & Paul’s unforgettable wedding day — and even more thrilled to see it featured in the Summer–Fall 2025 issue of Martha’s Vineyard Weddings magazine.
