Quinzy and Mikal celebrated their union with a deeply meaningful sunset beach wedding on Martha’s Vineyard, gathering their closest family for an intimate ceremony in early October at Lambert's Cove Beach overlooking the sparkling waters of Vineyard Sound.

Quinzy was stunning in a mermaid-cut gown; a sleek silhouette and flowing tulle train were the perfect complement to her radiant beauty. Before the ceremony, the couple shared a quiet First Look near James Pond, where golden autumn light filtered through the leaves, an unforgettable moment before joining their family for a bespoke Love Story ceremony on the beach.

Escorted by her father, Quinzy walked across the sand to meet Mikal in their ceremony circle, thoughtfully outlined with smooth beach pebbles and accented with antiqued fall hydrangeas. Their ceremony, crafted by our officiant, reflected the couple’s unique journey and spiritual vision for their intimate Vineyard wedding. Quinzy and Mikal exchanged heartfelt personal vows, filled with vulnerability, devotion, and unwavering faith, as a powerful expression of their commitment to one another.

In a tribute to their heritage and the community surrounding them, Quinzy and Mikal participated in the African American tradition of Jumping the Broom. With their family counting along "1, 2, 3!" the newlyweds jumped physically, while they symbolically and spiritually crossed the threshold into matrimony, sweeping away the old and welcoming the new. They landed, hand-in-hand, into their new life with a burst of cheers and applause.

The couple and their family celebrated an unforgettable wedding evening with a first dance & toast at sunset on the beach, followed by dinner at Bettini amidst views of the Edgartown harbor. The evening was filled with laughter and love, surrounded by the people who had supported their journey from the very beginning, a perfect ending to a day that was not just a celebration, but a powerful reflection of a love built to last.
